when I type Shift-s I get a beep???

I can not get a Capitol s, when I type shift s, my computer beeps at me??? I can get caps in all other letters and if I hit the cap lock, i get cap S'S. Why is my mac doing this???? How do i fix it?????

Is this in all apps? Maybe go to the Keyboard & Mouse settings in System Preferences and check the Keyboard Shortcuts pane to see if there's a double-up for SHIFT-S. :)
