Three cheers for every one of 'em. (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/03/09/wprot09.xml)

How emotionally vacant do you have to be to try destroying somebody's funeral?

Bloody brilliant.

I hadn't heard of these Kansas "Baptists". What a bunch of ****ing pricks. There actions are so despicable on so many levels it almost makes me ill.

I respect the differences I might have with many people in America, but if I ran into them "picketing", I would punch (at least) one in their goddamn face.

Thanks Harley biker.

About two years ago there was a church in my hometown in Nebraska that announced they would start allowing homosexual marriages and these Kansas picketers showed up almost immediately.

Thank God for the Harley bikers.

Some friends and I, being so close to Kansas, have decided that if Fred Phelps croaks anytime soon while we're all living in MO, we're going to pickett his funeral. I have a feelinig we won't be the only ones.

Nah, my mom's best friend's husband's name is Fred and he's a cool guy. So god just hates Fred Phelps.

yeah, phelps is a real piece of work. i think he'll be in for some major disappointment once he dies.

i have to think that anyone who hates gays that much must be gay.

You don't protest at a funeral. You just don't. And what a stupid thing to protest. Ironic that the people who don't support gay marriage are the same people who are more likely to support the war, but not even the most conservative people I know would ever do such a thing as to protest a dead soldiers funeral because of a made up link to homosexuality. No real Christian would ever do such a thing either.

I try not to wish ill will on people, so I hope they don't piss off the wrong biker. Could get interesting.

Apparently, he's not welcome here. eh.

Frow wikipedia:

On one occasion, Phelps and his congregation had their signs confiscated by customs, and responded by going to the federal capital and burning and spitting on the Canadian flag, and threatening to urinate and defecate on it.

Since that time, Canada has passed hate crime legislation, alternatingly referred to by the informal "Fred Phelps Law" and "Jack Chick Law." Phelps has also claimed that his congregation, along with him, have been arrested in Canada for hate speech.

Should Phelps ever try to enter Canada again, he would be arrested and tried for violation of hate crime laws, a fact which prompted the founding of "Godhatescanada.com."

That is the most...I don't know...there's not even a word for it.

Disrupting a funeral?

That is seriously absolutely the most horrible thing someone could do.

I'm glad they like roadside bombs so much, because if that happened around here, I promise you that's exactly what they'd get.

Was there any warning that they were coming? Arming oneself with a squirt gun full of tobasco and aiming for the eyes seems like a fun alternative to a full-on riot. :)

I've met some amazing people who have hippie names and drive Harleys. And I know and love their kids, and can barely get them out of my minds. And you know how metrosexual I am. You never know.

Dykes on Bikes -- with the Hell's Angels, the Christian Motorcycle Ministry and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, all riding together for a cause. Wouldn't that be superb?

Well- let's hope Phelps tries to enter Canada real soon. I'd love to see that a**hole arrested. Having been face to face with some of these idiots, I must say I can't wait for them to do a little jail time. Fred will make someone a good wife. ;)

The bikers around here do a toy drive for poor kids around Xmas. Every year the local paper gets a shot of a mean-lookin' biker with a pink stuffed animal propped on his handlebars. :)

You really can't judge a book by it's cover. One of these people is evil. Guess which one. The answer may surprise you.

Almost forgot. What a stand up guy that Fred Phelps is (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Phelps). I especially like how he drunkenly beat his kids (who still support him BTW) so hard, they've suffered life long disabilities because of it. As has his wife. And the part where he tried to beat up a police officer. Classy.

He was. Family refuses to testify against him though, so he get off on the other charges. I try not to wish harm on anyone, like I've said, but it's too bad those bikers are nonviolent. Yeah, I know, great good and all that. But still.

A spokesman for the church, Shirley Phelps-Roper, told one newspaper: "Our goal is to help the nation connect the dots. You turn this nation over to the fags and our soldiers come home in body bags."

These people can't be real...

Thumbs up for the bikers.

He does it all the time.

He yelled and screamed "Fags die" at Matthew Shepherds funeral.

He's just a sick man. You have to admire his dedication, though.
