I noticed in iPhoto 6 that some of the control buttons at that bottom still retain the look of iPhoto 5. Does anyone else have this problem?

Looking exactly the same on my iPhoto 6.0.2
Are they supposed to be any different?

I would imagine they would chance like iMovie, iTunes and GarageBand. Also I would imagine they would match the fullscreen button.

Alright, I see what you mean now...
yep, actually my buttons do match the fullscreen one.
Here's a snapshot.

Repaired permissions? When did you last restart?

It definately looks like something a theme changer could do.

There is no theme changer installed, I restarted about 3 days ago. It's been like this since I upgraded from '05, and on all my computers. Perhaps it only happens when you upgrade from '05... hmm.

Odd. I upgraded from 5 and mine look normal.
You could try reinstalling iPhoto 6 over the top of it just in case something didn't replace those buttons?

Why? How would repairing permissions fix this particular issue at all?

Repairing permissions is like rebooting, turning it off and waiting 5 seconds, or crossing your fingers. It has to work once for you to want to do it ALL the time! :)

I upgraded from 05 too and, as you can see from my snapshot above, my buttons look normal... so I don't think that's the problem.
I wouldn't know what to suggest, though... I don't think a reinstall would be worth it :o

A simple app reinstall isn't very intensive. I reckon it might be the easiest option. :)

Yes, I would say re-install too.
But first Right-click iPhoto and select Show Package Content>Contents>Resources and check if the button_blahblah.tiff icons look the old way, or like they're supposed to look. If they look the old way, definitely re-install.

Yes, they look the old way. I'll probably end up using Pacifist to strip those files off the iLife disk and just replace the images.

I just noticed today that there is no HomePage at the bottom of iPhoto '06 as there was in '05. I hope it's not just me, anyone else notice this, as my other stuff looks fine from what I can tell

There is no Homepage now with iPhoto 6 - just iWeb.
If you want to use Homepage, you now have to do it online via the .mac pages

Thank you, I thought at first I didn't do something right, then tried iWeb but in the end I just closed out of it and figured I'd ask rather than make a mess of things :o
