I've got a SanDisk PCMCIA smart media card reader that I use with my Windows notebook.
Will this (and other PCMCIA cards) work with a powerbook?

I have just for fun plugged my PCMCIA Ethernet card into my PowerBook, and it worked. I have also used a PCMCIA card reader in a PowerBook, and I doubt they have to produce a mac/PC version.
In short: it should work.
On a banana scale of accuracy, this post gets 4.5 bananas out of 5.

Thanks!
Just for grins...I'll probably take a card (and some other junk) into the local Apple store the next time I visit (when they get the 17" in...or an updated 15")

As long as it doesn't specifically need drivers (like wireless cards), it should work.
Even if it does need drivers, it might work anyway.;)
In your case it should work.:)

I have an IBM PCMCIA CompactFlash reader -- it works flawlessly in my PowerBook.
