I really don't want to reformat and install... but I have no need for all the language and printer support! Is there a spot in the system library where I can just trash it all?

Thanks, Ill try the monolingual thing. Just to be sure, this is only removing the GUI elements right? I'll still be able to type and stuff in foreign languages?
As for print drivers... Does anyone know how to remove this?

You can still type in other languages as long as you have those fonts installed.

Ah, good 'ol terminal... goodie.
its only 1.6 gigs... not that big of a deal and theirs always the off chance I need those drivers away from home...
As for monolingual... It removed over 3 gigs and its still going! Woo!

Monolingual told me I saved 1.9 gigs but I watched the Get info box for Mac HD and calculated closer to 3 gigs. I imagine somewhere in between?🙂
I am pondering removing those print drivers. I really would cry if I sudo rm -r 'ed the wrong thing and screwed up my MBP!
1.6 gigs... worth it?

For me, I don't really care about 1 or 2GB since i end up having to move 15-20GB over to external storage every month or so. You could try Onyx and tell it to display hidden folders and drag them to the trash. That might work, I'm not sure.

Nahh. I am happy with the recovered disk space from monolingual, though. Thanks. Now I have room for the complete 1st season of the A-team!

I pity the fool who don't have room for a whole season of the A-Team! 😉

If in doubt, don't bother. If you do end up using this command, have everything nicely backed up (as always) so recovery won't be a hassle. 🙂
