When was Dell ever a trendsetter?

"He also argued that the rise of Apple had stolen Dell's spotlight as the trendsetter for the PC business."

And I sorta looked up to Alienware gaming machines as pinnacles of l33t Gamorz equipment. Now, I bite my thumb at them.

If it means we get better looking Alienware machines, then I'm all for it.

The current line up is hideous. :(

Hmmm.... does this mean alienware will become another dell?

I think they need to fix this sentence though: "Dell, meanwhile, has become synonymous with basic, inexpensive boxes."
to: "Dell, meanwhile, has become synonymous with basic, inexpensive sh**boxes.":D

They can't build anything with class, so they've bought it.

I do agree that Alienware's PCs look hideous, though.

Hey, be a bit more culturally sensitive; they're not hideous, they're Alien!

Specifically, Vogon, I think.

Didnt this already happen last week?

And yes. Alienware is hideous. I've seen better things come out of my dog.

I gotta be honest here, those Alienware computers are really expensive. They make my wallet glad I own a mac.

If your Mac performed like those Alienware computers and you played a lot of games, you wouldn't care about what your wallet thinks. Does your wallet think? Can it be glad?

Does it feel used because you only get it out when you want something? :(

I declare tomorrow International Wallet Day. Go out, get your wallet a nice card, some flowers and maybe some chocolate. Take it to a nice park and wax lyrically with it, get intimate and then take it home... Just don't buy anything.

It sounds like dell is going to own the company, but alienware will still operate the same in producing thier own machines. I am getting the impression they are not merging the computer together. Though they may share a few ideas.
