Ok, well I just got my new ibook, Ill list specs at the end of the post... I am trying to burn a DVD using Roxio Toast Titanuim 7.

The DVD Burner is in a External enclosure and is USB 2.0. Its not powered off the USB, it has its own AC Adapter.

When I load the files into the window and click the Red button to burn, it loads up the next part of the interface and gives me this error

Interface error -50
The connection is unstable.

Note* - At the time of the burning, the DVD drive is the only device plugged into my ibook's USB ports.

Power is connected and everything.

ibook specs - 12" 1.33ghz - 40gb HDD, 1GB Ram, Its basiclly the standard 12" ibook specs, but with the added extra ram.

I've burned DVD's on this same drive before, but on my Mini.
Is it possible that the ibook doesnt like USB drives?

Any help would be appricated.

Did you try both ports to see if the same thing happened? Just the odd case, did you try it after a restart? Last you do have dvd selected on the lower right corner of Toast when you try to burn (above the red button)?

I havent actually tried both ports. I'll give that a try and see how it works.

Yeah I tried it after a restart, still the same thing happened.
I've made sure the DVD drive was selected when I tried to burn a DVD.

Just dont know what to do.
