quicktime/dock problem

seems like whenever i minimize a quicktime movie into the dock, it will not come back out. what gives? how can i fix this?

I have the same exact problem! And it's been like that for the longest time now... the only way I can get the video back on my screen is if I select it from the Window menu.

I'm glad it's not only me. 😱

Do you have an old DivX codec installed? Maybe get the latest version. 🙂

I don't get that with quicktime, but I do get it with the dvd player and dvd's... but I guess that's because (I think) the disc stops when you minimize it.

hey, installing the latest version of divx did actually fix the problem! but why?

The codec itself is free, its just the other converter software that gets installed with it isn't. So if you install the trial, the codec will keep on working for you even when the software expires.

I assume its because the older divx codec, while it did work with Tiger, wasn't fully up to date for it, and in turn gave a number of bugs when ran in Tiger. Version 6 though is fully Tiger compliant.
