Couple of Airport questions.

1. is it compatible with win PC's?

2. How good is the range, in real world terms?

3. is it worth it?

4. what ISP's are compatible with AE?

Any help here to all or any questions is muchos gracias!

1) 802.11g is a standard in coming. Having said that, Linksys sells 802.11g cards and access points. So, the answer to this one is yes.

2) Can't comment as I don't really have one. However, as it relates to 802.11b (or regular Airport), the range depends on the surroundings. Don't believe what you see on the box. If you buy a better access point (a Cisco Aironet for example), you can attach stronger antennas to extend range. Access points that support this are above the consumer level howeer.

3) It really depends on what you're doing. If you're transferring large files often between machines on your home network, then probably yes. If you just want to surf the web on your broadband connection, it's likely to not make much of a difference.

4) ISPs and Airport Extreme have little to do with each other. If you have broadband, you'll still connect with PPPoE, and if you have a modem, you can use the modem in the AE base unit.
