I am trying to export some .vcf contact files from my iPod to Entourage.
I get the spinning beach ball when I try to do this…What is going on??
The beach ball will spin and spin and spin, it is really pissing me off!!
Any suggestions?
I have a TiBook 400 512MB Ram and Jag.3

I don't have an iPod, so I may not be much help. Can you view the contents of the iPod in Finder? If so, you may be able to drag and drop the .vcf files into Entourage. I noticed that nobody replied, so I thought I'd pass along my idea. I don't know if it will work, but let me know if it does.

You can first try copying the VCF files to the local hard drive, and THEN import them into Entourage by either dragging them into the application or importing them via the File menu.
Does the spinning beach ball crash the Finder? Are you in OS X 10.2? A little more info can go a long way.

how many are you copying at a time? i just did that exact thing (G3 350 384MB Jag.3) and had no probs. But I have had some in the past, moving vcfs from entourage to address book. So maybe try moving just a few at a time?
annoying.
