Think it's a good deal? I sure do...let me know your thoughts...also if anyone wants to know where to buy shoot me a PM. It's the computer store at the college I go to but you don't have to be a student to buy.

Hm. Not super-great, given that you'll have to throw in more cash for RAM, but that's a pretty nice deal. If you'll be happy with the processor, I'd say go for it.

sounds like a good deal for a little iBook, make sure you get some ram...

$699 for the refurbished 1 GHz model on Apple.com.

I think that's a great deal. It's cheaper than you can get ANY of the refurbs at the Apple store for, and it's only one revision back. Think about it this way- what kind of Windows laptop can you get for $599?...
You can get an extra 512 of RAM for less than $70, then you're set.

It will be great for a student or for work relearted stuff. I would recommend you add some RAM to "atleast" 512, anything less and you will be waiting for stuff to computer more then you work.

That's a great deal. Throw a gig of ram at it (I could get a nice stick for $100) and you have a nice affordable laptop. For $700 it beats the snot out of Apple refurb...of course there is the warrantee issue...does it come with one?

..of course there is the warrantee issue...does it come with one?I just assumed so because the OP states that it's from the college computer store.
