ok just got my mac.. i wanna put all my movies on my computer so i can eliminate all my damn dvds.... does anyone know of any good dvd rippers for 10.2.3?

Do a search of the forums here, there's one called forty-two that's somewhat easy... by far the easiest one, anyway. one-step ripping. installation is somewhat complicated, but don't be afraid of it, you'll be learning something about UNIX while you do it-- anyway it's not very difficult...

yep, just installed the new version of forty-two, installation is much easier. Still doesn't work for me (it seems to be rather hit-or-miss), but at least i didn't have to monkey with it for hours to know that...

yeah but it takes foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to do a movie. i need something that won't take 23 hours on a g4 800?!?!

And just how much disk space are you going to need for all your DVDs?

Also, what happens if the drive dies. You've lost all your movies if you've gotten rid of the DVDs.

And if you're ripping DVDs you've rented, well I hope they catch you. Since people who steal DVD content is what causes all the ************ of copyprotection and such that the rest of us have to put up with.

Forty Two rocks on my MDD 2x 1GHz.
Its easy to install just read the read me file. and i have had much problems with sync on PC rippers but 42 rocks, Its just put in the dvd sellect divx or vcd and drag the dvd to the app. And name the out put file woila finish after 3 hours ;)

I love it its the best app i have tryed.
It eaven support subtitles.
