Check out sonys new walkman stick
looks like serious competion for the shuffle and has superiour battery life and a 2gb version avilable
The 1gb even has the option for an FM radio
looks pretty darn good if you ask me

The new Sony Walkman Stick does look nice. :)

Looks nice, but I think the biggest weakness of any "iPod killer" is that they don't give many iPod users an easy upgrade path. Many users have encoded their libraries in the default M4A format, so even if the Apple competitors can't support M4P, they should at least support M4A. No?
IMHO. If anyone wants to seriously compete with the iPod, they should provide a tool to migrate or share an iTunes library, even if they don't support M4P, and not try to lock the user in to another proprietary format with limited support (ATRAC).

Wow they look boring. Features sound good, but look at the lack of styling! How drab!

Um, it kinda does look like a highlighter but they are ok.
The suffle* is boring compared to these, yes the suff looks sleeker etc, but I don't see how you can say these look boring and not think the same of the shuffle. I still wouldn't buy one. either of them for that matter...
