I just purchased a nice display for my aluminum powerbook g4. I want to use my powerbook in clamshell mode. Is there anything I should know about before doing this? Should I be concerned about heat effecting my screen?

Just remember to keep your vents clear and ideally have the PowerBook on a flat, hard surface. :)

I have been using Powerbook G4 in clamshell mode for around 1.5 years. I did not encounter any problem.

I use my Powerbook in clamshell at home. I keep it on a set of four drink coasters to elevate it from the desk. It really helps keep the heat down.

I don't get noticeable higher temperatures when running clamshell. Get a temp. widget and check the numbers.
