No reason for me to. My P3 laptop still runs fine. When it dies, I will get something else.

I was hoping there was going to be a 1GHz 17" with a combo drive. I have no use for a SuperDrive so I guess I won't be buying one.

COMBO = DVD-ROM/CD-RW
SuperDrive = DVD-R/CD-RW

Yup, I will be buying one. I'm trying to decide if I want to make the 4 hr drive to Atlanta or order it online (either through Apple or another dealer.)

BTW who voted for buying multiple iMacs?! Man, I want to be your friend! :p :D

I just ordered mine! I've been waiting since November for the upgrades. Sure the upgrades could have been larger, but I'm not complaining. I have the 17" 800mhz in my office so I'm curious to see if I will notice any difference between the two.

Patiently waiting for my new 17" 1ghz!

nah, mine is recent enough. Even if it weren't, I'd go for the Powermac for its graphics card slot and expansion room

With having a DP1.42GHz on order, I can't really justify a new Mac. :D

No. I just switched in October and got a 17" iMac with superdrive and I just love it. Yeah it would have been nice to have waited and got a faster machine with a few more extras, but that would have meant 4 more months using my PC. No thanks. I will never go back.

::sigh:: After much deliberation I've decided to wait a while more for a new Mac purchase. The money I've saved for one is going to pay off my credit card bills.
