Internal Speakers are on, even when external speakers are hooked up?

Hey guys, this is my first post here.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem.

My internal speakers are always on while running XP. When I hook up my external speakers, they work fine, but the internal ones contiue to stay on. Does anyone know of a way to fix it?

This is on an Intel Mac? If so, this is documented by Apple as one of the things they have not worked out quite yet. Check out the Boot Camp page on Apple's site. Read it thoroughly.
