on my girlfriend's new MacBook Pro (which is super-incredible by the way; no whining, very snappy), there seems to be a problem with the help viewer in finder.

All searches result in a constant spinning wheel, and the links on the Help Home "page" are completely unresponsive. I've already tried renaming the cache folder thing, and that didn't work. any ideas?

Try deleting this file:
(homedirectory) -> Library -> Preferences -> com.apple.helpviewer.plist

I have an iBook G4 (very first release) and it has always done that, even after an Archive & Install. I don't know how to fix it.

hmm an update to 10.4.6 seems to have fixed it. thanks for the suggestions guys.
