Hey Guys, I have a new short film. I was in a joke shop and I saw this hand.
What can I say? I was inspired by it to make a film. Mind you, some would
say its in bad taste, others would say its funny. Either way, let me know
what you think. http://www.willweber.blogspot.com/

That was fracking BIZARRE! :D And kind of gross. Yet it didn't deter me from chowing my pizza. Definitely "original".

I don't know about other people here, but I thought it was original, funny, and new. As always, you managed to do some amazing stuff with your camera. Keep up the good work! Thanks for posting your films. :)
Is this one filmed at your house?

Na, we were up in North Springs Arkansas for spring break. My family and I were just staying up in a little cottage in the valley.

A film's meant to tell a story, and I have to say although your film doesn't remotely seem like a multi million dollar production in the least, but you really do have it in you to tell a story with your films :)
I generally like your camera techniques too ;)

i thought it was funny, and actually sort of cute in a way.Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. Just wondering though, did you get the girls' parents' permission? And what did they have to say about story? (If I read the credits correctly, you're all related?) :p

I've got to hand it to you
Damn, beat me to it. A few more submissions for the approval of the masses:
- Everyone give him a hand!
- What a handy prop.
- That video was so good I could hardly even handle it!
- A handsome concept.
- Hands down that was the best video I've ever seen!
- Was that film scripted by your hand?
- The girl and the prop went hand in hand.
- Hands off, this one was hot!
- You must have had your hands full with that project.
- Interesting directorial decisions; you must have had your hands tied on a few of those.
- A contract with a major production company is in hand for you!
- This shows promise; you should keep your hand in filmmaking.
- Well I suppose now that it's finished, this piece if off of your hands.
- I should keep this video on hand for a special occasions.
- Well, on the other hand...
- I know! I know! My commentary is getting out of hand!
- But he did really set his hand to that one.
- It was nice that you were able to take a hand from your prop selection on that one.
- Etc.
Okay, I'm finished. Thank you for humoring me.

Thankfully we are all related. I'm not so sure I could get away with stuff like
that if I wasn't related to the people I put in my films. :)

Funny movie, and good music, who is the artist? It says in the credits; "Clap your hands and say yeah" I actually recognized it from radio play but couldn't for the life of me think of the artist/title. :o
And whw5, what did your folks say about the end result?

It was pretty well received by everyone in my family, except my mom. ;) I guess she didn't really like the idea of her daughter sucking the thumb of a hand. I think she is coming around though.

I think you do a nice job of evoking the wonder and playfulness of human beings as "discoverers."
I might take out the cooking scene at the end. The images are so much about the girl and the power of her frivolity -- the ending seems to really foreground the prop (rather than the relationship people have to the prop).
Good work, though!

As much as I originally wanted to change the ending, you can't argue with your actor if she wants to "get some new shoes."

At that point, she was so tired of filming, bribery would do nothing. Or else it would have to be a really good bribe.

It actually reminded me of a music video with the one song playing the whole way through. (Ha ha - just realised the connection between the band name and the video :D )

Well I enjoyed it. Like others have pointed out I think the camera techniques were awesome, wonderful choice of music. I am not a filmmaker, so I can't really tell you what was bad. From what I see, you have the camera down, maybe you could put together some stories and get some actors and make a short film.

Funny you should say that, because I am currently working on the script for a longer short film. I'm not going to say much else, except that I think you guys will like it when its done.
