it's too hard to go through your library and figure out your average bitrate or sound file quality, so i figured this would be the next best indicator of how people on macrumors store their music, although it doesn't account for song length, that'll provide an interesting piece of data too.
so, what i'm wondering is this...
a. how big is your library (in GB) [mine is 22.7 GB including a few videos]
b. how many files you have in your library [i have 3058]
c. how much time is in your library [mine is 9 days, 21 hours, 5 minutes, and 22 seconds]
d. what is the average file size of your library (size/# of files) [mine is 7.6 MB]
e. what is the average file length of your library (time/# of files) [mine is 4.65 minutes]
and please don't be scared off by my statistical nature.. :X
as a more qualitative analysis.. i keep most of my music in approx. 200 kbps VBR MP3, with some down to 128, some AAC, and some lossless.
