I just remembered my dream last night...it was a brand new wireless mighty mouse on apple's main page. The mouse was slightly larger than the current mighty and had parts in the front that were transparent. The whole mouse was rechargable.

And here's the cool part (I don't know how my brain works this well in sleep), there was an orb that you set the mouse in to recharge that is connected via USB to your mac. And that same orb is what contained the wireless receiver for the mac. Then for classrooms there was a big orb, that looked sort of like an iSub, where you could put 12 mice in all at once to recharge them quickly.

I just wanted to post this in case, I have any sort of prophetic powers, so it's on the record. ;)

Yeah a wireless mighty mouse would be cool. Come on apple give us 2 buttons across the board.

Very interesting.

I love my Mighty Mouse, I've never had any problems with it, and I would love it for it to be wireless! :)

I'm sure part of the reason I had the dream is that I have been mulling over getting a wireless keyboard and mouse for a while. I would prefer getting an Apple set, but I need two buttons and a scroll wheel.

Am I correct in understanding that all new desktop macs come with a mighty mouse, or is that only the imac?

Yeah, 'cept the eMac.

And the Mac mini, because they don't come with a KB or mouse.

The analysis of this dream is simple. Its your unconscious mind telling you to spend less time on Apple.com.

I've had a couple wireless mice and I've never liked them. Always a bit too heavy or off balance, a hassle to recharge, annyoing to set up the receiver and sync the devices (orientation..ugh), and generally they have all been slightly buggy... It looks like it will be corded for a while for me. However maybe if Apple does it, they'll do it right.

Haha, interesting theory. I think it's obvious that the world would love a wireless mighty mouse, but I like the who ord idea with 12 mice thing you thought up. :)

I think it only makes sense for Apple to introduce a wireless (BT) Mighty Mouse. Now that Boot Camp allows XP to run on Macs, there will be an increased demand from Windows users for true right-click functionality. Apple will want to address this in both their wired and wireless mouse offerings, as they will not want users having to resort to 3rd party solutions instead (even though many people, myself included, already do and will continue to do... )

what about the keyboard?

Perhaps Apple will release a "Mighty Keyboard" as well! ;) They could name it the "Wireless General Input Board", or "WiGi (pronounced WeeGee) Board"... :D

It's a good mouse which I love. I use it on a daily basis.
I'm sure lots of mouses are better(*cough*iadmitmsmakessomegoodmouses*cough*), but for a mouse that comes with the computer and is white and pretty and can scroll horizontally and vertically.... it's fairly amazing.
So having this available in wireless would be awesome. I would buy.
And I don't know why Apple hasn't done it already. Is it that hard to make a mouse wireless?

well it took them thirty years to do the "two-button" mouse...apple works in mysterious and somewhat slow ways
