Strange ipod question

I've been having this problem where when i choose an album to play my ipod starts to play the first track, as in dispays it's info, then it jumps straight to the second. This is always right after i switch it to hold. It could be that I'm in some way touching the forward button everytime but that seem unlikely.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Am I totally crazy?:)
