looks like a damn good deal - especially if you're an Edu customer - the discount is still £200 - meaning you could get a MacBook Pro with FCS for the same price as a retail MBP!

The promo's been in the USA/Canada for a week or so, good to see it's made it over to the UK. I commented at the time that the end date of the promo (June 26th), would suggest that the next version of Studio wouldn't be available until after that - even if it were announced at NAB this month.

yeah, it could well be a clearout for FCS6... but whatever, it's one HELLUVA good deal!

For sure yeah. :)

I'm waiting to see what's announced at NAB, which is also around the time my local reseller should be able to get 5.1. I'll probably just get 5.1, unfortunately I can't really justify getting a new machine just yet - even in one of those 'spend money to save money' offers. :)
