MS Access Mac equivalent

Hello, I am looking for a database prog like MS Access, since i cannot find access on the Mac at all. Any suggestions?

PCG: You know, though that nothing except Access can run databases written with Access, yes?

Would help if gave us a bit more context.
 
ok, my sis is taking accounting in college and she needs to use access for a class- is there any prog i can find that does the same functions?

No.

The only answer is Virtual PC* and MS Access -- she should be able to get these through the college bookstore at Education prices.

*or an intel Mac with BootCamp, Windows XP SP2 and Access...

Why there is. These are beta, so their support for forms/report/macros are not that good apparently. Anyway u can try it and see if it helps.

OpenOffice Base:http://www.openoffice.org/product/base.html
NeoOffice: http://www.neooffice.org/

They both can open access tables and files and pretty much mimick access functionality.

That would be of no use to her. Courses taught with Access require the use of Access. There are often labs, assignments, sample files, and so on. Outside of an academic environment, O😵 might be a potential replacement, but when schools say MS Access, they mean MS Access. Personally, I'm a MySQL kind of guy.
 
These really aren't betas. And NeoOffice does not actually have a database application yet, since this was only bundled with OpenOffice.org v2.0. If you can't afford Access, OpenOffice.org would be your only cheap best bet that I can think of.
