Help me figure out what song this is!

I've been plugging stuff into google for the last hour or so and I can't figure out what this song is...maybe someone can help me. It's terribly stuck in my head, even though I can only remember the faintest bit of it.


It's a rap song, and, if I recall properly, there's some sort of break in the song, then a guy with a really deep voice comes on and sings something that sounds like:

"we ballin, blahblahblahblahblah freefallin"

He sings it pretty slow, but in a good 'groove' so that the "we ballin" and "freefallin" parts (if that's what they actually are) sound alike.

Hopefully someone can help me here...I don't really listen to rap, so I don't know what to look for, it's just stuck in my head SO badly! 😎
 
It would be nice to have some more to work with, but you could at least check out Jurassic 5's "What's Golden" or Outkast's "Speedballin." I haven't actually heard the latter, but if Big Boi is the one singing in there it could get pretty deep. I'll keep thinking, though.

Thats what I was thinking too.

It seems a little familiar, but I am not much of a fan of Rap.

So the only standout word in that track is freefallin'?? Not enough to go by for me, but I'm generally bad at this sort of thing.
 
Is it We Ballin' by Memphis Bleek, by any chance?

When I read the original post I thought of Speedballin' too, just listened to it though, and it doesn't match what he is looking for sadly. I'm pretty sure I've heard it too, I just so can't place it. 🙁

I was really bad with the lyrics, but that was a great call...somehow I messed up the words 'what's golden' with 'freefallin' 😕

Thanks to everyone who helped out...except for the fact that now I've got Tom Petty running around in my head instead. 😛

Edit: I really need to stop listening to songs with great hooks like that...Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" was in my cart on the iTMS when I went to buy What's Golden. haha

Sorry, I had just left Fark.com and hadn't managed to fully change gears. I hereby retract all slashes from my previous post. But I'm not going to edit it or anything. 😛
