I have recently obtained a broken Ipod mini as part of a trade for some bike parts. I now want to sell this. I was thinking about putting it on ebay but figured I would post here first.
It is a blue ipod mini
Comes with the charger, firewire cable, usb cable, and headphones (however the headphones are pretty busted up, but audio can still be heard).
The ipod itself powers on, but does not stay on for very long due to low battery power. It also has the name of the owner engraved in the back.
If anyone is interested or has any questions..please let me know.
Im looking for offers...trade or money. Thanks
UPDATE: PICS ARE POSTED

UPDATE UPDATE
As I said previously, I recieved this ipod from a friend through a trade and he said it was broke. However I just charged the battery for a few hours and unplugged it. It now has been playing for about an hour and seems to have efficient battery power left. I'll see how long it goes. It also seems fully functional. Therefore, it may just be a weak battery, that may need replaced soon. Also, there are some cosmetic blemishes, and the clickwheel seems to be a tad loose...for example, if you put enough friction and move the click wheel side to side it moves a bit. I just want to clarify everything.

When you say broken, is that just because the low battery life, or does it half something else wrong with it?

Yes, the ipod will charge and will power on and play music, however the batter doesnt last long at all. Therefore it needs a new battery.

you'll have to post pictures and reduce the uncertainty that someone would be getting a scratched up mini with a bad battery. no scratches= at least $15 more than otherwise.

There were only two generations of ipod mini's right? If so.... this is definitely the first generation 4GB model.

Yes, there were only 2 generations. If the writing on the click-wheel is gray, it is a 1G. If the writing matches the color of the mini, it is a 2G.

I personally would try to fix it and resell it. There are places you can buy batteries and fix it your self if you a mechanical enough to do it but that’s just my 2 cents

Thanks that is a very good idea. But I'm not sure I have the time to deal with the repair. If I could get a reasonable price for it...Im just going to sell it as is.
Why, how much more do you think I could get by fixing it myself and reselling it. Im definitely mechanically inclined. Im an engineer.
Thanks

Hi! I was hoping for a little more than a "512mb shuffle", only because they are selling on ebay cheaper than a "broken ipod mini" Strange huh...I guess ppl really like to fix them and resell them. Either that..or the mini is becoming a collectible since it is OOP.
Anyway.. sounds like a good offer, but I may be able to do a bit better. Not sure though:confused:
Thanks alot

Oh really? What's your dog's name, and is it a male or female?
Mine's a male and his name is Yoshi.
