Wow, I just switched from my Dell to the 17 in imac... Wow, I have realized I don't really need windows! Before the switch I was leaning torward dual boot option, not I think I will only use the virtualization method as I don't want to leave osx!
WOW!!!!

I Converted my Father to the New Intel Imac from an old Compaq junker.
I keep asking him if he wants me to Install a Dual Boot Scenario for him to Run Windows and everytime i ask he says:
"Why do that? The iMac has everything i need."
Nuff Said. :D
Im proud of my Dad ;) :D   :)

For many people Macs can do everything they need. For me, they can't. I do some .NET programing which pretty much requires windows. Also, I like to play games. Games generally come out for Windows way before they come out for Mac.
If you need to ask why you need windows, then you probably don't need windows.

I hope this is starts to become a common trend for switchers that bought an Intel mac because they could still run Windows as a safety net. If more people end up realizing that OS X is better then Apple may have done well with boot camp.

I need Windows because I program for it at work. I would not run it otherwise, since OS X has everything I need. I run Windows in a Parallel virtual machine, to keep OS X only a couple of mouse clicks away at all time.

I also need Windows for games; not only do they come out earlier on Windows than on Mac (if they come out at all), but after some unexpected expenses I can't afford one good enough to play games anyway (my iBook can run World of Warcraft pretty well, but I need something good enough for Oblivion). Looks like I'll be sticking to the iBook/ PC gaming rig combo for a while.

I'd be completely Mac, except my job (.NET programmer) requires me to use Windows. But my employer bought the computer for me so I don't mind.
