Will X-Plane work on this HD

I've got an eMac 1.42 GHz, 64mb ati radeon card, 1.5Gb of RAM. I'm going to get a Firewire LaCie External drive (http://www.lacie.com/au/products/product.htm?pid=10384), running at 7200rpm.

My question is...will X-Plane 8.40 run at the same speed if it is entirely on the Firewire drive as it will run on the internal drive.?

You shouldn't see any performance hit, if that's what you're wondering. In reality, you would probably see an increase in performance by running applications on an external firewire drive. This is because your computer can devote two separate busses for the operating system and for applications instead of having to share bandwidth between both.
