My ipod is set up to sync with my itunes on my work PC, recently I notices that windows does not pick up my ipod anymore, but that iTunes sees a ipod and simply calls it "F:\", but reported the wrong size, problem is that drive F is a standard corporate shared drive, so obviously thats incorrect.

Later in realized that windows for some unknown reason was trying to assign the F drive letter to my ipod, I changed that and now I see the ipod in explorer, but iTunes still sees drive F, but now sees the right size (aka 30gigs). I tried to uninstall itunes and reinstall it, but it doesnt change anything!

Any suggestions?

Turns out that restoring my ipod to its defaults on another machine solved the problem.
