Disk Copy Won't Work

I'm new to the Mac world and I must say I am pretty impressed over windblows. This is the first major problem I have had. I recently downloaded iCal off of apple's web site along with a few other programs that I decided to try. And when ever it was going through it's phase Disk Copy will come up and just sit there and do nothing and I have to end up force quitting it every single time. It does this will all of the programs I have downloaded. What's going wrong. Since i'm new to this whole Mac thing I don't know what the Disk Copy does. Note all of the files are .dmg files and i'm on an eMac 700.

I just wished there was a way for me to fix it. I had to sit and clikc enter about 5 minutes to get through all of the accepatable uses...

But if anyone ever has the problem do what it says above...I works like a charm...
