My, that's big of them.

The Vatican's stance on contraceptives is unbelievably irresponsible... and has contributed to the rise in the numbers of HIV infections.

******... do these folk piss me off a treat.

Common sense from the Vatican?

I'll believe it when I see it happen. Not before.

They're looking for ways to save money. It'll cut back on abortion costs.

Sounds wrong, but I've had some conversation of late about doctors who got rich doing illegal abortions for many of the mid 20th century years; all funded by The Church.

I have no reason to doubt the legitimacy of the discussions.

Yay God!!!

(No offense to present company.)

it would be about time, but it's one retired cardinal known for his 'enlightened' views. I'll believe when Mazinger says it.

And it's only for married couples when one of them has AIDS. But still, it's a start.

Well there was this (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,176050,00.html). The link is even from Fox News so it can't be from the "Liberal Media."

Maybe it'll start a trend, first shoot down ID, then relax birth control restraints, maybe the Vatican is finally starting to move the Church into the 20th century...

:chuckles:

It's pretty depressing how out of touch the Church is with my life.

Either the Vatican has a direct line to God or they are choosing to exercise God's gift of freewill to amend God's own rules. WTF? What a world.
