This is Freescale we're talking about here -- why should anyone be surprised about their inability to deliver a product on time, in sufficient quantity, and at a reasonable price?

And I hate to say it, but the move to Intel is a big nail in the forehead of the PowerPC CPU upgrade market, just like 68030 and 68040 upgrade didn't last too long after the PowerPCs came out (though I still miss my IIci with the 40MHz DayStar Turbo040, bless its heart!).

That has changed OWC has a 7448 dual 1.8 GHZ upgrade with 1MB of L2 for $679.
