Which version of Garageband are you running?

Read the FAQ (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:MacRumors_FAQ).
I understand page 2 is for news items of lesser importance, but I would think - or at least prefer as a frequent reader - any Apple software updates to be page one. Just my two cents but I don't run the site - but do enjoy it.

Did you move the app out of the applications folder?

this updated (3.0.2) destroyed my garageband.
now when I launch the app, I get a lovely little message box:
'Garageband has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers.'
'Be sure to install the latest drivers for all audio and MIDI equipment connected to your computer. For instructions on removing older drivers, consult the manufacturers' documentation.'
------------
I dont use any external midi devices, my machine is pretty much brand new, and I've composed just one project in garageband so far.
bogus :(
