No More Education discounts - Australia

Hi all,

I've only recently heard about this and wondering if anyone can enlighten me on whats going on. I spoke with a friend who has decided to buy a Mac and he was told that the education discount would no longer be available in Oz by the end of this month. What gives?

I spoke also with a reseller here who suggested the same thing and that Apple was the instigator of the decision to cancel it. This can't be good in the long term?

I have heard that it is only for resellers however you can buy at an education discount from apple itself still
