imac OS8.6 G3 / imac OSX G4 compatability

I am seeking info regarding compatability between a imac OS8.6 and a imac OSX. Can the 8.6 share files with the X. Ethernet and or wireless connection?
Will I be able to transfer data from 8.6 to X via floppy, or cd or zip disc?
Thanks for any advice!
 
networking works fine.

Wireless would work fine to.

removeable media is removeable media, the OS doesn't really matter. OS 8.6 supports zip drives and the like, so does OS X. So does windows for that matter (though windows obviously doesn't read mac format, but mac reads windows formats)
