Anybody know if this even really does anything?

I'm using it while playing Doom 3 on my 12" PB and it seems to have an effect, but the quality of Doom varies a lot anyway on a machine with such low processor power.

I went to the developers website. It looks like it just reassigns process priority for the application of your choice instead of letting OS X manage it.
