I always liked the name "Velocity Engine". I don't know why. Just do.

yeah, it sounds like it has a turbo jet fitted to them. Its a shame really that the G5's are crap in laptops. although, the intels do whip them performance per watt.

And performance in general. Conroe is great and the new instruction set (SSE4) is supposed to be quite efficient, approaching Altivec or whatever.

I prefer Altivec as a name. Although I think we can all agree both are much better than SSE and VMX.
