Hey guys,
pretty new here.

I have had my ipod for less than a year and have the extended warranty.
the right earphone went out. the wiring isnt exposed or worn out; they still look brand new.

Since i am at work and can't read my warranty, does apple cover this?
Has anyone got their earphones replaced and if so, what steps are taken? I do not want to have an ipod and no earphones waiting for the new ones to come in.

THANKS GUYS
Appreciate it Much.

They are covered, yes. Your best bet is to stop in to an apple store near you. If there's not one near you, go here:

http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/

Somebody told me if you take your earphones into the Apple Store and tell them your buds have worn out they will give you new ones for free...However, I can't say I really trust this guy but hey, he's got an Apple store where he lives and I don't so I can't say that I know better.

thanks guys for the info so far.

much appreciated.
the store said its not a problem to just come in, but i do not live very close to one?

so it shouldnt be a problem to go through applecare right?

Curious if you had to send your old ones back?
