Apple store Chili peppers listening event thing.

So yea, i remember reading about this some time ago but i completely forgot until to day i walked into my local apple store and an an employee handed me a card to download the exclusive itunes Red Hot Chili Peppers free. They were playing i guess the new album by them in the store which is suppose to be special because the album doesn't get released for another couple of weeks. I dunno I guess it was kind of cool, would have been nice if they amped it up maybe a little more get some excitement going. Anyone else go to one of these?
