Hi,

I wrote about this before, but can't find the info here. I want to upgrade my 15" Titanium Powerbook from 512 to 1 gig of memory. How can I find out what I need and how I do it??
Thanks.
Frank

Check out www.datamem.com for some great deals on RAM. Plus, they let you search by the type of computer that you have (e.g., a 12" 1.33GHz iBook G4) and provide compatible RAM.

Not sure where to find a "how to guide", but if it is anything like my iBook G4, then you just pop open the keyboard, unscrew a lid, and install the RAM. This should be covered in your user's manual (if you have one). :)

I had a feeling that someone far more wiser than myself would come and provide a link- thanks WildCowboy. :)

Would going from 512 to a gig make any noticable difference in the speed I see?? It seems like things take forever to load anymore. All I have open is Safari and Entourage. I see the beach ball a lot...and it seems that I have to relaunch Finder on a daily basis. And I run a "repair permissions" every month on the 1st.

It will make a huge difference. The OS takes about 512 by itself.

And thanks to you dmw007 for the link :)

>>Check out www.datamem.com for some great deals on RAM<,

Thanks to everyone. Just received and installed the RAM. Ordered it on Sunday and it came today (Wednesday).
