It uses software encoding so im wondering if an intel imac in parallels could handle it?

Basically looking for something not to expensive to digitize the odd videoclip.

the cheapest mac ones ive seen are the elgato eyetv ez and miglia tvmicro which cost 150$ and 100$

Well don't forget that Parallels is $40 ($50 if you don't preorder) so add that on to the cost of the PC product, plus the asumption that it'll work under Parallels which just recently added USB support so I would imagine it's quite flakey.
