Sony DRU-500 DVD rewriter in a Mac

Is there anyone out here that knows if the new Sony DRU-500 drive works under OS 9 or OS X?

Or if Toast supports it. The Roxio site only states "most drives" but they lack a decent list.

It's the drive that does both DVD-R/DVD-RW and DVD+R/DVD+RW

good question man. i'd like the sony drive over the pioneer 105, it burns cds at 24x
