Hi, can some typographer around here help me identify this font? It's my (new) employer's logo and she's forgotten what font it is.

I know it by sight but for the life of me can't remember the name of it. It's an old 70's-80's Letraset catalogue favourite (not of mine, I hasten to add).
One thing is for sure; its been pulled about a lot with a heavy hand. Horizontally scaled for the first bit and overly skewed for the second bit.

I'm terrible at naming fonts, but here is a site that is pretty good at it. You may get an answer faster from there than from here.

Good one... was kind of on the right track with the Letraset thing. :o
A popular typeface that has been widely used since its introduction by Letraset in 1972.
