And you have only 1 SO-DIMM, so you can upgrade to 1.5/2/3 GB later. If you add a 512 MB, 1 GB or 2 GB DIMM in the other slot. That's a vicious one!:cool:

BTW, Apple usually ships before estimated if you only upgraded RAM, becuase it is easy to upgrade, but since you upgraded the HDD, it will take around the estimated ship date. I've never heard of anyone shipping later than estimated shipping date...:D

I'm pretty sure It's only upgradeable to 2 ghz, but yeah, thats my plan - to upgrade in a year or maybe sooner.

I agree. My MBP came on 5/5, it has the exact same specs as yours. I've had no whining, no problems with noise, and it doesnt get extremely hot. you'll be 100% pleased with it, I'm positive.

Well, I just ordered my 15 inch MBP as well, and I ordered an incase sling pack, and a mighty mouse as well. I tracked the order, and I ordered everything three days ago, and the sling pack and mouse are about 20 miles away already (Green Bay). The Macbook Pro shipped today from Shanghai, so I don't know when it will arrive... hope that helps.

My status page has just updated to say the case has shipped. The tracking info on fed ex's site says it should be here by tomorrow. That is insane...I placed the order on friday at 10 pm. So that's basically a less-than-one-business-day shipping time.

As for the MBP, it says it'll ship on wednesday. Hoping it ships earlier, but with the fed ex ship time on the case, I should have the MBP by Friday.
