For some reason I just started thinking about this game, and I'd like to know what it was called for when I get an Intel.

It was a PC game, and it came out at least 5 years ago. Probably earlier than that.

You played as a character with a 3rd person view, running/jumping around a level etc. - I can't remember any kind of objectives but I do remember that you could change characters (possibly on the fly) and they had different abilities, such as jumping higher or running faster.

I'm fairly sure the characters were roughly one colour each, but all the characters were distinctly different colours.

The levels had a really natural kind of design to them, no manmade structures or anything, but pools of water and large rock formations and land masses, etc etc.

I seem to remember the whole game having a natural/biological feel to it. In fact it wouldn't suprise me if the game had "bio" or "morph" or something like that somewhere in the title. But it might not, I really can't remember.

500 pretend pounds to the first person to name it :D
