Hello all,
I've been having this problem for a while now and it finally started bugging me enough to ask for some advice.
I don't recall when it started but it stayed with me after my 10.3 -> 10.4 upgrade, all security and other updates and multiple permissions repairs.
Here are some screenshots of the problem:
a jpg file:

I do have a bootable backup on an external HD. When i click "open with" I hear that HD spinning up.
Even if it is looking there, it shouldn't offer me 8 of the same versions of ImageReady or 12 versions of Camino to open the file should it?
Any ideas on where i can tweak/change/solve this?
