Network Server Basic Question --

Hey, I'm a Mac noob and was wondering what's the point in being able to connect to other servers on my network/router? When I connect and clicked on shared docs, there is nothing there. Is there anything I have to do with my PC first? Thanks. 😀 I took pics to help you understand what I'm talking about:

Whatever folder on the Windows machine that maps to the SharedDocs share is empty by the looks of things. On the PC, right-click on My Computer, and select Manage from the options that appear. Then drill down to system tools>>Shared Folders>>Shares to see a list of shared locations.
