handbrake does almost everything, and it is free. there are a few things it doesn't have but for almost $40? Such a waste of money. and handbrake can convert them directly to ipod or psp format.

Popcorn 2 for $37.99 from Amazon - copy DVDs to iPod**
**By DVDs, we do not mean any of the ones you own. PopCorn will not copy CSS protected DVDs, which means almost and DVD you would purchase or rent. You still need to do the extraction/decryption with another program (Mac the Ripper for instance).
Handbrake on the other hand will take ANY DVD and rip it to iPod format.

You get a large selection of resolutions and it works with wmv.'s flawlessly. If you want to use PopCorn to down size DVD's use MacTheRipper first. (You go look for it.) Popcorn for me is just another trick in my bag of video options. It really helps me use my iMac to make some cash on the side doing video encoding for the clueless locals.
