FW800 vs. FW400?

I'm looking for an external enclosure. Is there really a big enough difference between the two to warrant the extra cost? I don't generallyl work off my external (I keep my itunes library there); I use it more as a backup system.

if you keep your itunes library on there FW800 is definitely worth the extra cost.

FW800 isn't needed for your iTunes library. I use FW400 on mine and I get transfer rates of about 8MB a sec. No song in your library is going to need that sort of transfer rate.

What he said. If you are working with digital video, especially HD stuff, then get the FW800. Otherwise FW400 is more than adequate.
