View Full Version : Automatic brightness broken

For some reason, the automatic brightness setting on my new 15" MBP isn't working. I've tried turning it on and off in the Displays pref pane, repairing permissions and restarting. No luck, as it stays stuck on manual adjustment.

Any ideas?

This has happened on my PowerBook before, and i think (can't remember exactly), that if you expose it to high light (shine a flashlight to both speaker grills), and then put it in a dark area it may be fixed. Not sure though. Good luck!
