Here's the thing, I would like to use my laptop as a phone, in case I need it, NO I don't need it as an internet phone, not to make calls overseas or to another state, I just wanna be able to answer a call when the phone rings at my house and I'm nowhere near a phone and I'm connected to a phoneline via an Airport base, and that way I don't have to carry my computer (laptop) and a cordless phone too. I looked everywhere on the net but all I can find is software to make internet calls. If anyone have any leads on software that would allow me to do this, i would appreciate it!
PS. this would be for OS X not OS9

no problem. i don't know how helpful it will be, but i recommend trying different keywords in versiontraker. i just tried "telephone" and "phone" and got a lot of stuff back. versiontracker is a truly great place to go for little stuff. i didn't even look, but they have a "related software" list with most apps that shows some other apps in the same category. might check that.
